More Christmas

These cards were done using the Paper Dolls Cart which is such a fun cart and Joys of the Seasons. don't you just love the Raggedy Ann & Andy one, they look so cheery.

Christmas

Well Christmas is approaching fast and I thought I'd get an early start. Here are more disney cards. As I've mentioned previously I love the disney cartridges. I used the Pooh and Friends Cart as well as the Mickey Font cartridge. For the titles I used Beyond Birthdays, Jasmine used for photo corners and Mini monograms used for scalloped circles. I love the colors associated with the Christmas season, they are so bright and cheery. The base of the cards were done using plain card-stock purchased from Michael's. The beautiful paper used to layer the cards is from the Holiday Cheer packet purchased from Walmart.

More Disney!

These are some more disney cards I've made over the past couple of days. The patterned paper on all the cards comes from a paper pack I purchased on sale at Walmart. Donald and Pluto are from the Mickey Font cartridge. Ariel and Belle are from the Dreams Come True cartridge and Pooh and Eeyore are from the Pooh and Friends cartridge. Putting the layers together for the cards, especially the disney princesses is such a task but fun. You have to cut a black base then the hair, eyes, face and outfits are all different colors and then you have to gently piece it together; time consuming but well worth it. It is difficult to glue the small pieces such as the eyes and lips but in the end you have a beautiful product.

Disney

These are some cards I made using the Mickey font cartridge. I love the Disney cartridges so much. These cards can be used as birthday, thinking of you or friendship cards. I pop-darted the characters to give them a 3-D effect.

Twins

This a card done at the request of a friend. Her boss is having twins after much difficulty trying to conceive. The card is is made using yellow and white card-stock. The top layer is embossed using the Textile embossing folder. The twins are from the New Arrival cartridge. I also wrote a special poem to be included in the card.

You’ve been blessed not once but twice with a gift so rare,
You’re expecting two bundles of joy no other gift can compare.
It’s been a difficult road filled with bruises and bumps;
But a road worth the heartache when you feel your babies jump.
There will be many sleepless nights and days your patience wears thin.
But approach it all with great joy for you have been blessed to be the parents of twins.

JBM

This is a card I created for my uncle's birthday last week. His name is Joseph Bernard Mosley. He has his initials on everything from jewelry to towels so I thought this card was befitting for him. The card is made using plain blue and brown card-stock. The cartridge used is mini monograms.

Born to Ride

I have a difficult time coming up with male greeting cards but I was inspired by some Harley Davidson paper I found on sale at Michael's. The motorcycle is from the Going Places cartridge. It's cut three times in black, orange ( to layer the base) and the base is cut in silver metallic paper from Best Occasions. The Harley Davidson symbol on the bike is clipart found on the web. The base of the card is plain orange card-stock. I will probably add a scalloped circle on the front that says born to ride. This card can be used as a birthday card.

This card was made using the toon car from the Mickey and Friends cartridge. The base of the card is plain black card-stock. The top layer is Coco & Blue LG Argyle paper made by the Paper Studio purchased at Hobby Lobby. The base of the car was cut using black card-stock and layered using light blue and white card-stock. The headlights are jewel adhesives I found among my mom's old sewing supplies, The metal adhesive says Happy Birthday, I think its from Making Memories.

Do these shoes go with this purse?

Hello everyone this is my first blog post. These are some samples of my cards. Both cards were made with red card stock and DCWV paper. I used cricut cartridges to cut out the shapes on both cards. I used the Mickey and Friends cartridge for the purse card and the Wedding solutions cartridge for the shoe card. The photo corners on both cards are from Jasmine. I got the idea for the purse card off the cricut message board and tweaked it.
